La Roux ( / lɑːˈruː / lah-ROO) is an English synth-pop act formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. The act's debut album La Roux (2009) was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof".
Ben Langmaid is a music producer best known for producing music for synthpop act La Roux. In 2014 he left La Roux, considering one of the collaborators “an idiot”.
Ursprünglich war La Roux ein Electropop -Duo bestehend aus Eleanor Jackson, Tochter der englischen Schauspielerin Trudie Goodwin, und dem Produzenten Ben Langmaid. Dieser hatte vorher schon mit Bands wie Faithless gearbeitet.
