While in search for quality singers to join their group, the two men stumbled upon Kenny Terry and brought him into the group. The guys met Kenny when he was working at a hotel. As Dion and Shawn were leaving, they overheard Terry singing and invited him to join the group, expanding it to a trio.
Briefly popular soul quartet Az Yet was initially formed in 1989 as a duo with Shawn Rivera and Dion Allen; they were later joined by Kenny Terry who they found singing in the lobby of the Wyndham Hotel. Darryl Anthony was added later.
In November 2007, the four remaining original members - Marc Nelson, Kenny Terry, Shawn Rivera and Dion Allen - reunited and began recording their sophomore album, set for release in September 2008. The group released their first single, "Share Life", on April 25, 2008.
