22. Dez. 2017 · This two-CD, 34-song set does a magnificent job of filling in the major gap in the Power catalog by collecting both sides of all six of his rare 1962-1967 Parlophone singles in one place, as well as adding no less than a dozen previously unreleased outtakes.
Most of his Parlophone material including unreleased recordings from the 1960s were issued on CD in 2002 as Leapers and Sleepers. In 2006 saw a further retrospective Vampers and Champers that included the re-release of his Translantic LP Innovations . Power died on 19 February 2014 at the age of 72. Mai 2007 · RPM has done a nice job with their three Duffy Power releases: the 2-CD comps Leapers and Sleepers and Vampers And Champers and most recently, the reissue of his 1972 self-titled GSF release, which incidentally is the only complete LP recorded by Duffy that was contemporaneously released.

A bit off-topic, but does anyone have the Leapers and Sleepers comp (which includes "Just Stay Blue")? Wondering if the mastering is ok.
25. Mai 2021 · Er trat mit verschiedenen Musikern aus der Londoner Bluesszene auf. Einer davon war Georgie Fame, dem er die neue Hammond Orgel nahebrachte. Bei Parlophone durfte er 1963 den Beatles Song “ I Saw Her Standing There ” aufnehmen. Begleitet wurde er vom Graham Bond Quartet (mit John McLaughlin, Ginger Baker und Jack Bruce ).
