  4. 1. Feb. 2017 · Just found out Harvey Ellison has died albeit 4 months late. I was a big fan of his and the infamous Glitter Band, whose records I still play today, and I’m 55 nearly. What did Harvey die of? My condolences to his wife and family. With Gerry having gone 14 years ago, it makes one realise, get out there and enjoy life while you can.

  5. 25. Jan. 2018 · Harvey Ellison formally of The Glitter Band passed away on Wednesday 1st February. Alan Esdaile…. I thought we might get through a day without someone we know dying. Remember him, I doubt if the BBC will mention it. R.I.P. Harvey Ellison and thanks for that great Sax. Andrew Clifton…. John Rossall is doing a gig in Bognor Regis.

  6. 6. Nov. 2017 · Rossall brought with him guitarist Gerry Shephard, saxophonist Harvey Ellison, and bassist Ray Moxley, who was soon sacked for urinating in Glitter’s drink. He was replaced by John Springate. Drummers Pete Phipps and Tony Leonard eventually completed the line up.

  7. 15. Nov. 2019 · Of the original band members, Gerry Shephard died in 2003, and sax player Harvey Ellison passed away in 2017. More recently though, things are changing, with their appearances on Top of The Pops re-runs and more BBC radio airplay. In fact, Rock & Roll (part 2) is used in the new 2019 film soundtrack of The Joker.
