Richard Huish College is a further education and sixth-form college in Taunton, Somerset, England. Located on a single site in South Road, about a mile from the centre of Taunton, it offers A-level courses, apprenticeships and vocational courses.
Huish has a great team of academic and support staff working together to create an environment where students can succeed. Students refer to our staff by their first names and mutual respect is encouraged across our community.
Richard Huish College was originally formed in the 18th century. It was named after benefactor Richard Huish, a Taunton wool merchant who made his fortune in London. His will, when he died in 1615, provided the main part of the endowment for an educational foundation to be established which eventually grew into Huish’s Grammar School for Boys ...
