  2. The Central School of Art and Design was a public school of fine and applied arts in London, England. It offered foundation and degree level courses. It was established in 1896 by the London County Council as the Central School of Arts and Crafts.

    Fortunately, unlike many cities, Columbus is home to a world-class art and design school. So while other regions struggle to recruit and retain a creative class, CCAD graduates a new one each May. And many of those alumni choose to stay here in Central Ohio, helping us to shape its future.

  6. It was founded in 1879 as the Columbus Art School and is one of the oldest private art and design colleges in the United States. Located in downtown Columbus, CCAD's campus consists of 14 buildings (including 2 residence halls) on 9 acres (36,000 m 2) and is adjacent to the Columbus Museum of Art.
