Derek Leckenby was the lead guitarist of the British pop group Herman's Hermits, who had hits like 'I'm Into Something Good' and 'Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter'. He died in 1994 after a long career of touring the world with the band, despite his illness and the departure of the original singer Peter Noone.

Derek Leckenby (born 14 May 1943 [1] in Manchester, England) played lead guitar for Herman's Hermits. Leckenby co-founded Pluto Music with Herman's Hermits member Keith Hopwood. Pluto music produced music for childrens television.
