Col. Isaac Allerton Jr. Born Plymouth between May 22, 1627 and 1630. He graduated from Harvard in 1650. He married (1) Elizabeth ____ about 1652 and had two children. She died after June 11, 1655. He married (2) Elizabeth (Willoughby) (Oversee) Colclough about 1663 and had three children.
It would appear from the colony records that Isaac Jr. was reared by the Brewsters and the Elder placed the boy with his son Love Brewster. While Isaac is found in New Amsterdam as early as 1639, he still had dealings and land holdings in Plymouth.
2. Juni 2024 · Isaac Allerton was one of the original Pilgrim fathers who came on the Mayflower to settle the Plymouth Colony in 1620. Allerton is an ancestor of Presidents of the United States Zachary Taylor and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
