Charles John Mahoney (June 20, 1940 – February 4, 2018) was an English-American actor. He played retired police officer Martin Crane on the NBC sitcom Frasier from 1993 to 2004, receiving nominations for two Golden Globe Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards.
Actor: Frasier. John Mahoney was an award-winning American actor. He was born in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, the seventh of eight children of Margaret and Reg, a baker. His family was evacuated to the sea-side resort to avoid the Nazi bombing of their native Manchester.

John Mahoney was an award-winning American actor who played Frasier's father on Frasier (1993). He was born in England, served in the U.S. Army, and became a citizen by acting in the Steppenwolf Theatre.
