Vera-Ellen (born Vera-Ellen Rohe; February 16, 1921 [citation needed] – August 30, 1981) was an American dancer and actress. She is remembered for her solo performances as well as her work with partners Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Danny Kaye, and Donald O'Connor.
Vera-Ellen was a musical film star and dancer who worked with Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly and Danny Kaye. She retired from acting in the late 1950s and died of ovarian cancer in 1981.

Vera-Ellen (February 16, 1921 - August 30, 1981) was an American dancer and actress. She began dancing at the age of 10, and a few years later became one of the youngest Rockettes. She appeared in several Broadway musicals until she was spotted by film producer Samuel Goldwyn in 1945.
