Doris Kenyon was a silent film actress who co-starred with Rudolph Valentino and Milton Sills. She later appeared in sound films and TV shows, and was the mother of Doris Day.
Doris Kenyon was born Doris Margaret Kenyon in Syracuse, New York, in 1897. Her father was a minister. An accomplished singer, Kenyon made her Broadway debut in a comedic operetta at the age of 18 in 1915. She appeared in four more productions through 1924.
