Alan David Hansen (born 13 June 1955) is a Scottish former footballer and BBC television football pundit. Regarded as one of the greatest Scottish defenders of all time, he played as a central defender for Partick Thistle, for the successful Liverpool team of the late 1970s and 1980s, and for the Scotland national team.

Alan Hansen war ein ehemaliger schottischer Fußballspieler und eine wahre Legende des Sports. Er wurde am 13. Juni 1955 in Alloa, Schottland, geboren und spielte hauptsächlich als Innenverteidiger. Hansen spielte für den FC Liverpool, wo er insgesamt 620 Spiele bestritt und 14 Tore schoss.
Signed from Partick Thistle for £100,000 on the recommendation of legendary Celtic boss Jock Stein, Hansen arrived on Merseyside as a shy, skinny kid. He made his debut in a 1-0 home win over Derby County in September 1977 and played in the following year's European Cup final triumph over FC Bruges at Wembley.
