Marcellus Hartley Dodge Sr. (February 28, 1881 – December 25, 1963) was the chairman of the board of Remington Arms Company and a member of the family associated with the Phelps Dodge Corporation. He was the president or director of several companies and the president of YMCA in the United States.

Emma died in 1881 after giving birth to their only child, Marcellus Hartley Dodge Sr. He was raised by his grandparents and eventually became heir to the Hartley business and the largest part of the Hartley fortune.

Marcellus Hartley Dodge, Sr. was the chairman of the board of Remington Arms Company. His grandfather was Congressman William Earl Dodge.
When Mrs. Dodge became incapacitated in the early 1960s, her husband, Marcellus Hartley Dodge, Sr. succeeded her as President. Sadly, he died shortly thereafter, in 1963. To this day, there has always been a Dodge descendent on the Board. The other trustees have been residents of Madison and surrounding communities.
