  6. Background. The trial of Bosnian Serb General Radislav Krsti , the first senior officer in the Bosnian Serb Army to appear before the Tribunal, started on 13 March 2000. He was charged with eight counts of genocide, complicity to commit genocide, crimes against humanity and violations of the laws and customs of war.
