The Stroll is a 2023 American documentary film, directed by Kristen Lovell and Zackary Drucker. The film documents trans history in New York City, from the perspective of Black and Latina trans women who had been sex workers in the Meatpacking District during the 1980s and 1990s, in an area known as The Stroll.
The Stroll was both a slow rock 'n' roll dance and a song that was popular in the late 1950s. Billboard first reported that "The Stroll" might herald a new dance craze similar to the "Big Apple" in December 1957. In the dance two lines of dancers, men on one side and women on the other, face each other, moving in place to the music.

"The Stroll" is a song written by Nancy Lee and Clyde Otis and performed by The Diamonds. It reached No. 1 on the Cashbox chart, #4 on the U.S. pop chart, and #5 on the U.S. R&B chart in 1958. The song was ranked #48 on Billboard magazine's Top 50 singles of 1958. The Diamonds were the first to record "The Stroll".
