4. Juli 1980 · Assignment: Kill Castro was originally released as Cuba Crossing. Stuart Whitman stars as a mercenary hired to "off" the Cuban dictator. He soon discovers that he will be immediately expendable once the deed is done, and that co-stars like Robert Vaughn should not automatically be trusted.
A group of hitmen set out for Cuba to kill Fidel Castro and overthrow his regime. Among them are CIA agents Tony (Whitman), Hud (Vaughn) and Rossellini (Gazzo), who want revenge for the massacre at the Bay of Pigs. On the way to Cuba, however, the group runs into problems.
