Synopsis by Janiss Garza. This film is quite a departure for Western star William S. Hart -- he plays a New Orleans modiste! The role, however, starts off as manly as anything Hart did with a horse and a pair of six-guns: John Haynes (Hart) is known as "Hardwood" in the Northwoods town where he is the boss lumberjack.
