To My Great Chagrin documentary. In early 2001, Theodore and film artist Jeff Sumerel met and discussed producing a documentary about Theodore. In February of that year, preliminary shooting began, including informal interviews with Theodore in his apartment; in April, Theodore contracted pneumonia and died.
