1. Sept. 2022 · The story of Brazil’s first emperor, returning to Europe on board the English ship Warspite. The trip makes Pedro conquer his fears and face his life from a personal point of view.
We find him returning to the small country by the sea from where he fled from the invading French troops, to now dispute the Portuguese crown with his brother. Tarnished by the glorious past and the uncertain present, he is a man with no place in the world, in search of a new purpose.

Synopsis. It is 1831 and Pedro, the former emperor of Brazil, gathers physical and emotional strengths to face his brother, who usurped his kingdom in Portugal. The film is set on the Atlantic Ocean, aboard an English frigate, in which members of the court, officers, servants and slaves mingle in a babel of languages and social positions.
