She was formerly the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure from 2019 to 2023 and also served as the Premier of the Eastern Cape from 2009 to 2014.
Noxolo Kiviet is a member of the ANC and the current Minister of Public Service and Administration since March 2023. She has a long history of political and public service experience, including as Deputy Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Premier of the Eastern Cape, and speaker of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.

13. März 2023 · The EFF is calling for newly sworn-in Minister of Public Service and Administration Noxolo Kiviet to be blacklisted by all institutions of higher learning. The University of Fort Hare reported her to the SIU for allegedly having not met requirements to register for post-graduate degrees.
