Big Foot ( Si Thanka ) (ca 1820/1825 - December 29, 1890), also known as Spotted Elk, was a Minneconjou-Teton Sioux chief. He is not to be confused with Oglala Big Foot (also known as Ste Si Tȟáŋka. The son of Lone Horn, he was cousin to Crazy Horse and half brother of Sitting Bull. He became chief upon his father's death in 1875.
