Susan Solomon is a professor of environmental studies and the chair of the Program in Atmospheres, Oceans and Climate at MIT. She is a leader in atmospheric chemistry and climate science, best known for her work on the Antarctic ozone hole and its link to CFC emissions.
Susan Solomon is the Lee and Geraldine Martin Professor of Environmental Studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to coming to MIT in 2012, she was a scientist at NOAA in Boulder, Colorado and an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado from 1982-2011.
Susan Solomon is a renowned atmospheric scientist who led the research on the Antarctic ozone hole and its impact on climate. She also studies the chemistry/climate coupling and the irreversibility of global warming.
Solomon has gone on to investigate ozone depletion in the atmosphere elsewhere in the world.
