Mohammed Racim (Arabic: محمد راسم, 24 June 1896 – 30 March 1975) was an Algerian artist who founded the Algerian School for Miniature Painting with his brother, Omar. It still exists to this day.

Biography. Considered one of the first Algerian painters, Mohammed Racim was born into a family of artisans of Turkish origin who lived and worked in the Casbah in Algiers. Racim's father had a woodcarving and copper business, while his paternal uncle engraved tombstones.
