Sadaharu Horio (堀尾貞治, Horio Sadaharu, born April 5, 1939, in Kobe, died November 3, 2018, in Kobe) was a Japanese visual and performance artist. From 1966 to 1972 he was a member of the Gutai Art Association and produced sculptural canvasses.

6. Nov. 2018 · The esteemed Japanese performance artist Sadaharu Horio passed away on November 3 in Kobe, Japan. He was an integral member of the Gutai Art Assocation and part of an informal, loose group of Japanese artists active in 1970s Paris.
9. März 2023 · Axel Vervoordt Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Japanese artist Sadaharu Horio (1939-2018). It is the gallery’s fifth overall exhibition by the artist and the first since Horio’s passing in November 2018.
