Wasted Youth are an English post-punk band from London, initially active between 1979 and 1982. The original line-up of the band was Ken Scott (vocals and guitar), Rocco Barker (guitar), Nick Nicole (synth), Darren Murphy (bass) and Andy Scott (drums).

Formed in the summer of 1979, Wasted Youth were an East London post-punk band who became a small phenomenon across Europe playing their dark psychedelic bohemian rock. Split in December 1982.

21. Okt. 2021 · Wasted Youth were arguably the greatest ‘lost’ London band of the post-punk years. Rarely mentioned, if at all, in the era’s music history books, they were heavily influenced by the dark narcotic glamour of the Velvets, the Doors and Transformer-era Lou Reed.
Remastered in 2022 by Jeff Ellis. First up is the debut Wild and Wandering’, which is released on vinyl and CD in a new and specially designed gatefold sleeve by Jeff Ellis, who designed the original artwork for ‘Wild and Wandering’ and the covers of our first two singles.
