Jan. 1998 · Banjo is handled mostly by Rob McCoury and the superb Craig Smith, and Del McCoury adds two fine lead vocals, the jaunty “We’re Steppin’ Out Tonight” and Marty Stuart and Harlan Howard’s mournful “Oh, What A Silent Night”. On the latter, Stuart and Ronnie McCoury share harmonies and trade mandolin breaks.
John Marty Stuart (born September 30, 1958) is an American country and bluegrass music singer, songwriter, and musician. Active since 1968, Stuart initially toured with Lester Flatt, and then in Johnny Cash's road band before beginning work as a solo artist in the early 1980s.
