John "Jack" Bruno. Drummer Jack Bruno grew up in a family of professional and amateur musicians, and recalls a childhood of “records playing all the time. Singing, accordions, food, wine…”.
By the time he was 15, he was immersed in the Boston music scene playing in clubs and bars and getting exposed to and influenced by a diverse world of music. In the summer of 1967, he left Boston for New York as drummer for The Apple Pie Motherhood Band. They landed a deal with Atlantic Records.
