Okt. 2019 · "My Home Ain't In The Hall Of Fame" 1979 original US Rounder 0103, the first 'country/bluegrass' blend album by the group to feature KEITH WHITLEY, who of course went on to great fame as an influential solo performer, with a tragic end. Whitley came in after predecessors Ricky Skaggs and Rodney Crowell had moved on.
After experimenting with a few lineups, Crowe hired bassist Steve Bryant, mandolinist Jimmy Gadreau, as well as former Ralph Stanley guitarist Keith Whitley. This band produced three albums: My Home Ain't In the Hall of Fame, Live in Japan, and Somewhere Between.
Jackie Keith Whitley (July 1, 1954 – May 9, 1989) was an American country music singer and songwriter. During his career, he released only two albums but charted 12 singles on the Billboard country charts, and 7 more after his death.
17. Mai 2022 · It turns out that Keith Whitley was mistaken when he sang back in 1978, My Home Ain’t In The Hall of Fame. Today, the Country Music Hall of Fame announced that Keith will be inducted in this year’s class, along with Jerry Lee Lewis and Joe Galante.
