- About Us
Sherborne Girls, formally known as Sherborne School for Girls, is an independent day and boarding school for girls, located in Sherborne, North Dorset, England. There were 485 pupils attending in 2019–2020, with more than 90 per cent of them living on campus in the seven boarding houses.
For girls aged 11-14, (Years 7 – 9), our focus is on academic exploration, investigation and instilling a love of learning. At GCSE (Years 10 -11), our curriculum provides a real opportunity for pupils to develop a range of skills and competencies as defined in our school values.
We provide plentiful, diverse, and challenging opportunities across every facet of education, including rigorous academic study, an array of co-curricular activities, sport for everyone, and a shared commitment to pastoral care, personal flourishing and Christian values.
