Founded by Royal Charter in 1960, Churchill College is one of the newer Cambridge colleges. It was created to embody the vision of Sir Winston Churchill for how higher education can benefit society in the modern age.
Churchill College is one of the larger Cambridge colleges, home to around 485 undergraduates and 390 postgraduates, most of whom live on-site. Our expansive 42 acre campus includes on-site gym, Music Centre, Archives Centre, theatre, recording studio, sports fields, squash court, dance studio and more.
The Churchill Archives Centre (CAC) at Churchill College at the University of Cambridge is one of the largest repositories in the United Kingdom for the preservation and study of modern personal papers. It is best known for housing the papers of former British prime minister Winston Churchill.
