Jos de Putter is a Dutch filmmaker and visual artist. He studied linguistics, literature, and philosophy in Leiden and Berlin and worked as a film critic before making his first documentary in 1993.
With Zeeland Soil, Jos de Putter returns to the area in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen that he knows so well, 20 years after his documentary Het is een schone dag geweest (It has been a beautiful day). Developed in collaboration with artist. Production: Wink de Putter / Dieptescherpte BV.
Jos de Putter. Documentary filmmaker Jos de Putter (1959) studied Politicology and Literary Science in Leiden. His work was awarded with i.a. the Joris Ivens Award (IDFA), the Jordaanprijs (a prize awarded by the city of Amsterdam), and he was admitted to the Canon of Dutch Film.
