The Skyliner Ballroom was a nightclub located on Jacksboro Highway in Fort Worth, Texas. It was opened in the late 1930s and operated until 1966. The Skyliner evolved over the years, hosting big bands, jazz, burlesque, blues, and eventually rock & roll acts.
Live! The Ike & Tina Turner Show was released on Loma's parent label, Warner Bros. Records. It was recorded live at the Skyliner Ballroom ( Fort Worth, Texas) and the Lovall's Ballroom ( Dallas, Texas) in 1964. This strip sported eighteen restaurants, six liquor stores, seven nightclubs, and ten motels.
