Skyscraping is the seventh studio album by the English pop band ABC, released in March 1997 by Blatant and Deconstruction. The album was produced as a homage to lead vocalist Martin Fry 's several musical heroes, including David Bowie , Roxy Music and the Sex Pistols .

Ab 1997 arbeitete Martin Fry im Alleingang unter dem Bandnamen ABC. Mit Unterstützung von Glenn Gregory erschien das Album Skyscraping. Mit Seven Day Weekend lieferte ABC erstmals ein Lied zu einem Soundtrack, das auch auf dem Album mit enthalten ist. Als Singles erscheinen: Stranger Things, Skyscraping und Rolling Sevens.
Auf "Skyscraping" hat Martin Fry eine traumhafte Zusammenarbeit mit einem anderen Helden der frühen 80er Popmusik: Glenn Gregory von Heaven 17. Skyscraping (Alternate Version. · ABC has its roots in the band Vice Versa, a Sheffield band formed in 1977 by Stephen Singleton and Mark White. They founded their own label, Neutron Records, releasing the EP Music 4. Martin Fry, who wrote the fanzine Modern Drugs, interviewed Vice Vers.
