I was born in Plant City, Florida, Pamela Yvonne Tillis, to two artists. (My mother didn't show her true colors till later in life.) Anyways, there went my shot at a normal childhood. Dad was a struggling songwriter/singer, Mel Tillis, who possessed both a terrible speech impediment and a genius wit.
