1. Aug. 2012 · A handsome wheelset, the EA70 XCTs sport stealthy gray-on-black graphics- a welcome change from the shouty look currently in vogue. The 19mm (inside width) rims are a true UST design, with an unbroken inner wall, and so don’t require either tape or sealant to hold air.
20. Juli 2012 · On Test: Easton EA70 XCT 29er Wheels. After a comedy of errors getting the correct pair of wheels to fit my ride, complicated by how insanely back-ordered the EA70 29er wheels are, I finally have a pair of these UST hoops mounted up on my Giant Anthem X 29er.
15. Okt. 2015 · Easton's EA70 wheelset is a staple for mid-range bikes off the shelf and a popular upgrade from heavier hoops. They're resonably light and nice and smooth, though we have our doubts about how long the Aluminium freehub body will last if you're not careful.
Talk about trickle down technology: the EA70 XCT takes some of the best features of the more-expensive Easton tubeless mountain wheels (welded Easton aluminum rims, butted spokes, a generous 19-milliemeter internal rim width and sealed cartridge bearings), all at an impressive value.
