Eugene Earl Bostic (* 25. April 1913 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; † 28. Oktober 1965 in Rochester, New York State) war ein US-amerikanischer Alt saxophonist, Arrangeur und Komponist im Jazz und später im Rhythm and Blues und der Tanzmusik . Am bekanntesten war Bostic für seinen markanten Alt-Saxophon-Sound.
Earl Bostic was a saxophone player who is often maligned, misjudged and/or misrepresented. He has been referred to as a pop instrumentalist, a screaming R&B saxophonist and a jazz musician. He was all of those, plus an outstanding technical player and improviser.
Eugene Earl Bostic (April 25, 1913 – October 28, 1965) [1] was an American alto saxophonist. Bostic's recording career was diverse, his musical output encompassing jazz, swing, jump blues and the post-war American rhythm and blues style, which he pioneered.
