Frieda Rebecca Hughes (born 1 April 1960) is an English-Australian poet and painter. She has published seven children's books, four poetry collections and one short story and has had many exhibitions.
A gift for any occasion: my illustrated poetry collection contains poems for love, marriage, life and death and addresses some of my childhood experiences as the daughter of the poets Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath.
Frieda was drawn to Western Australia’s diverse landscape and open wilderness on a visit in 1988 and moved there in 1991. It proved to be a rich source of inspiration, both for her poetry and her paintings, until she returned to England in 1998.
