Der Terminus Jazzstandard, eigentlich nur Standard genannt, umfasst Kompositionen der vergangenen Jahrzehnte, die von Jazzmusikern kontinuierlich gespielt werden und die Stilentwicklung überdauert haben. Einigen Standards ist auch der Übergang in andere Musikstile gelungen.
