Phil Spalding, a talented and prolific bass player, passed away on 5th February 2023. He recorded and performed with many artists and on countless hit records. His family thanks his fans for their sympathy and support.

Best known as a session bassist, Spalding played on the Mike Oldfield albums Crises , Islands and Earth Moving , and was a member of Oldfield's live band.
