The band recruited a new drummer, Thomas Walling, to replace Rullo and recorded Twilight in Olympus in 1998. The album was released in February 1998 via Zero Corporation in Japan and simultaneously via Inside Out in Europe.
Auf dem Album spielt Thomas Walling Schlagzeug, der für den regulären Schlagzeuger Jason Rullo einsprang, nachdem dieser die Band aus persönlichen Gründen vorübergehend verlassen hatte. Es ist auch das letzte Symphony-X-Album mit dem langjährigen Bassisten Thomas Miller, der während der Tournee des Albums die Band verließ.

Artist biography Thomas Walling. Thomas Walling drummed in Symphony X for a short while in 1999, temporarily replacing Jason Rullo. After the critically acclaimed "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" Jason Rullo decided to leave the band. With Walling on drums Symphony X released "Twilight in Olympus" in 1998.
