In December, a site was selected in Ventura, lying on the mesa and foothills on the east side of Ventura Avenue, almost opposite the Avenue school house. The Ventura County Power Company provided water facilities and county supervisors agreed to pay for a road to the site. The 125 acres was purchased for $22,000.
