Billy Joe Royal was an American country soul artist. His discography consists of 14 studio albums and 37 singles. Of his 37 singles, 16 charted on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 between 1965 and 1978 and 15 charted on the U.S.'s Billboard Hot Country Songs between 1985 and 1992.
His set lists included a mixture of songs representing multiple genres from the 1960s onwards. He also played Robert Ally in the indie Western film, Billy the Kid (2013), co-starring country singer Cody McCarver. Royal died in his sleep on October 6, 2015, at his home in Morehead City, North Carolina. Discography
