Scott Billington (born October 27, 1951, in Melrose, Massachusetts) is an American record producer, songwriter, record company executive and blues musician. [1] [2] [3] [4] Biography. Billington's career began in Boston in the early 1970s, when he managed the New England Music City record store and edited the music magazine Pop Top.
He is the author of Allons en Louisiane, an interactive CD ROM (alas, in the days before DVD!). Scott worked for Rounder Records (now a division of Concord Music) for over forty years, serving most recently as Vice President of A&R. In fact, Scott met the three founders of Rounder Records before they had actually started the company.
A Good Day for the Blues is an album by the American musician Ruth Brown, released in 1999 via Bullseye Blues. [1] [2] After recovering from health ailments, Brown supported the album with several concert dates. [3] . The album was nominated for a Grammy Award, in the "Best Traditional Blues Album" category. [4] .
