Bruce Alcock is a Vancouver-based, Newfoundland-born multimedia filmmaker, creative director, and founder of animation studios Cuppa Coffee Studio (with Adam Shaheen) and Global Mechanic.
Global Mechanic was founded in 2000 by Creative Director, Bruce Alcock and is currently owned with his wife, CEO Tina Ouellette. Specialties include animation, branding and design.
Bruce Alcock moved to Chicago in 1995 to start Tricky Pictures, Backyard Productions' animation subsidiary. In February 1996, Cuppa Coffee began producing live-action, starting with three spots for Molson Ultra.

Cuppa Coffee Studios (formerly known as Cuppa Coffee Animation until 2006, shortened as Cuppa Coffee) is a Canadian animation studio that is founded in December 1992 by Adam Shaheen and Bruce Alcock (until 1995).The studio mostly uses stop-motion and 2D animation, especially the former.
Sensory data platform for wine. Initially conceived as a wikipedia for wine, early development revealed a growing need to standardize the way users describe wine. Bruce Alcock designed a UI with a sensual, intuitive feel, while incorporating competition wine-tasting methods and terminology.
