Big Tree Records was a record label founded by Doug Morris in 1970. It was best known for releases by Lobo, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Brownsville Station, Johnny Rivers, Dave and Ansel Collins, Canadian band April Wine, and British R&B group Hot Chocolate.

Originally pressed and distributed by Ampex Records but switched distribution to Bell Records in 1972 and again to Atlantic two years later. Stopped releasing new material in 1979; the biggest-selling Big Tree LPs remained in WEA's catalog until 1983 after which the entire Big Tree catalog was absorbed by Atlantic.

Schließlich endete die Zusammenarbeit mit Phil Gernhard und dem Label Big Tree. Lobo wechselte zu MCA/Curb Records, und erst 1979 erschien sein Comeback-Album Lobo. Produziert worden war es von Bob Montgomery, und nur eines der zehn Stücke darauf hatte Lobo selbst geschrieben.
