Scott Billington (born October 27, 1951, in Melrose, Massachusetts) is an American record producer, songwriter, record company executive and blues musician. [1] [2] [3] [4] Biography. Billington's career began in Boston in the early 1970s, when he managed the New England Music City record store and edited the music magazine Pop Top.
Bio. With over 100 albums to his credit, among them three Grammy winners, eleven Grammy nominees, and many other award winners, record producer Scott Billington balances a broad musical background and a keen ear with a knack for bringing out the best in the artists with whom he works.
Recorded at Dockside Studio, in Maurice, Louisiana, the album was produced by Scott Billington. Chavis's son Charles sang lead on "Sock It to Me" and "Marksville Slide". [6] The album packaging advises that the concluding two songs, "Uncle Bud" and "Deacon Jones", are not suitable for airplay due to their X-rated lyrics; the songs were originally released as "under-the-counter" 45s.

"Zydeco Boogie Woogie" is an interpretation of John Lee Hooker's "Boogie Chillen'". "Give It to Me" uses scratches by a New Orleans turntablist.
