Andy Irvine & Dónal Lunny's Mozaik [a.k.a. Mozaik] is a multicultural folk band consisting of Andy Irvine, Dónal Lunny, Bruce Molsky, Nikola Parov and Rens van der Zalm. Created in 2002, the band have toured Australia, Europe, USA and Japan, and recorded four albums.

Planxty were an Irish folk music band formed in January 1972,: 99–100 consisting initially of Christy Moore (vocals, acoustic guitar, bodhrán), Andy Irvine (vocals, mandolin, mandola, bouzouki, hurdy-gurdy, harmonica), Dónal Lunny (bouzouki, guitars, bodhrán, keyboards), and Liam O'Flynn (uilleann pipes, tin whistle).

Die Moving Hearts wurden 1981 von Dónal Lunny ( Bouzouki, Synthesizer und Bodhrán) und Christy Moore ( Gesang, Gitarre und Bodhrán) gegründet. Beide hatten vorher bei der Band Planxty gespielt.
Seit 2002 leitet Irvine mit Dónal Lunny auch die international besetzte Gruppe Mozaik, zu der Nikola Parov, Bruce Molsky und Rens van der Zalm gehören, mit der er mehrfach auf Tournee war und bis 2019 vier Alben veröffentlichte. 2004/2005 fand Planxty in der Urformation für einige Konzerte wieder zusammen.
