Plain Dealing is a town in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. The population was 893 at the 2020 census. History. In 1839, George Oglethorpe Gilmer and his son bought 5,000 acres of this land here from the United States government. They called some of this land "Plain Dealing" after the their family's Virginia plantation.
