- Korn. Korn prägte das Genre vermutlich wie keine andere Band. Bereits ihr Debüt KOЯN schien den weiteren Erfolg der Formation um Jonathan Davis, aber auch die Weiterentwicklung des besonderen Musikstils zu besiegeln.
- Limp Bizkit. Als Korn 1995 durch die USA tourten, machte die Karawane Halt in Jacksonville, Florida. Dort legt sich Korn-Basser Reginald „Fieldy“ Arvizu auf die Bahre von Fred Durst, um sich ein Motiv unter die Haut stechen zu lassen.
- Deftones. Auch bei Deftones’Debüt ADRENALINE hatte Ross Robinson seine Finger im Spiel: Er produzierte den Hidden-Track des Albums. Für die übrigen Songs ist Terry Date verantwortlich, der der Band bis 2006 treu blieb.
- System Of A Down. Das womöglich auffälligste Merkmal von System Of A Down ist der außergewöhnliche Gesang Serj Tankians. Genau wie die übrigen Bandmitglieder ist auch er armenischer Abstammung.
