Maud de Boer-Buquicchio (born December 28, 1944) is a Dutch jurist and former UN Special Rapporteur on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography. She served as Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe from 2002 and retired from the post in 2012 and was succeeded by Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni .
Maud de Boer-Buquicchio ( Hoensbroek, 28 december 1944) is een Nederlandse jurist en de speciale VN- rapporteur voor kinderhandel, kinderprostitutie en kinderpornografie. Ze was vanaf 2002 adjunct-secretaris-generaal van de Raad van Europa en ging in 2012 met pensioen. Ze werd opgevolgd door Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni .
Maud de Boer-Buquicchio (the Netherlands) was Special Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children from May 2014 to April 2020. Between 2002 and 2012, she served as Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the first woman elected for this post.
Maud de Boer-Buquicchio is a Dutch and Italian citizen and a graduate of Leiden University in law. She began her career at the Council of Europe in 1969 at the European Commission of Human Rights and was elected Deputy Registrar to the European Court of Human Rights in 1998.
